CALL TO ACTION: Comment now on proposed NOP rule to allow paper pots on certified organic farms

Last year, the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) voted unanimously in favor of a National Organic Program (NOP) rule change that would allow paper pots (and other paper planting aides). That was a landmark decision that we had been working toward for about 3 years! Many of our customers helped with this effort by submitting comments to the NOSB.

The next step is for the NOP to write and publish the rule. The NOP has recently introduced their draft rule and we are now in a public comment period. During this next step in the process, it is important that we, again, make our voices heard.

Please click the following link to comment in favor of the proposed rule to allow paper pots on certified organic farms. If you submit a comment, we would appreciate you letting us know but this is not required.

The comment period ends on April 4.

Thank you and “think spring!”
